To begin the making part of my project I drew out the badge on rhino and then laser cut the individual segments on the points of the star out of acrylic (above pic). I used a jig and the disc sander to create equally angled edges on each of the segments (below).

The first attempt looks pretty good although I have since realised that the joining edges of the point that are centremost shouldnt have an angle on as they won't meet their neighbouring point correctly. I will redo the outer segments next week and hopefully begin the moulding and casting process. I must increase the rate that I am gathering research as I think I'm taking too long on it.

All interviews have been fully typed up and I now need to go through them and highlight key points to fill out the details of my process chart.

Next week I must finish my visual CV and edit some portfolio pages aslong side the practical and research work. Lot's to do.
